Churchill fellowship 2024 application information

Dear members,

Please see below an email I have just received in applying for a Chruchill Fellowship:

"Hi Guy,
I’m getting back in touch on behalf of the Winston Churchill Trust in the hope that you may be able to assist us once again with sharing information and identifying potential applicants for the 2024 round of Churchill Fellowships.
As you may already be aware, Churchill Fellowships offer Australians from all walks of life the opportunity to travel overseas and investigate a topic they are passionate about. No formal qualifications are required. Applicants design their own itinerary and travel for four to eight weeks at a time of their choosing. The options are virtually limitless, providing the project has potential to benefit Australia and applicants are willing to share their findings when they return.
A series of information sessions is being hosted by the Trust this month to provide valuable advice to potential applicants. These free online sessions are based around different themes, including arts and trades this coming Thursday, February 8, at 5.30pm; and science technology and environment on Thursday, February 29, at 5.30pm. Each session runs for about an hour, with the opportunity to ask questions and be inspired by Churchill Fellows sharing their experiences and insights, including South Australian stonemason, Evan Marker, who visited Europe to train in the art of stone letter carving, and Adaptive Hydrogen CEO and founder, Steven Percy, who investigated the role of hydrogen in Australia’s energy future.
Registration and information about the sessions is available here. If people can’t make either event, they are very welcome to join one of the other sessions, no matter the theme.
More information is also available at
Applications open 1 March and close 1 May 2024.
Attached is a promotional tool kit and image tiles that may help you spread the word. The kit includes a variety of material that can simply be copied and pasted, or adapted, to share with your colleagues and networks. If you have any questions please do not hesitate to get in touch,
Kind regards
Liz Harfull
